Volunteer Roles for Earth Revolutions
1. Sewing Volunteers
Role Description: As a sewing volunteer, you will use your sewing skills to create various fabric-based products from upcycled materials. These products include reusable shopping bags, cloth napkins, fabric masks, and other items that help reduce textile waste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive project kits containing fabric scraps and instructions.
- Use personal sewing equipment to complete the projects.
- Ensure high-quality and durable finished products.
- Return completed items to Earth Revolutions for distribution and sale.
Skills Required: Basic to advanced sewing skills, attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to follow instructions.
2. Building Volunteers
Role Description: Building volunteers will construct items like Little Free Libraries, Free Pantries, Pet Pit Stops, and other structures using upcycled wood and materials. These creations will be used in local communities to promote sustainability and recycling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive project kits containing wood scraps, nails, screws, and blueprints.
- Use personal tools and equipment to assemble the projects.
- Ensure sturdy and safe construction.
- Return completed items to Earth Revolutions for installation and use.
Skills Required: Basic carpentry skills, proficiency with hand and power tools, attention to safety, and the ability to follow blueprints.
3. Scrap Collectors
Role Description: Scrap collectors play a vital role in sourcing additional materials needed for our sewing and building projects. They will gather fabric scraps, wood, and other usable materials from local businesses, recycling centers, and individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and contact potential sources of scrap materials.
- Collect and transport materials to designated drop-off points or directly to the program manager.
- Sort and prepare materials for inclusion in project kits.

4. Community Clean-Up Volunteers
